Scrapped Projects

Neoflash projects that have been abandoned in one way or another.

PastVision

PastVision was a free website which allows you to view old television broadcasts all the way back to the 1920s. We've also made our own channels to organize what you watch. We have also put our videos in wide-screen (black bars are removed), and we will allow you to stream it to your PC or mobile device.

Why was it cancelled?

PastVision was kinda doomed from the start. The concept was amazing, and I had the resources to pull it off. I even showcased it as one of my main projects at NHN 2016. But copyright was what put an end to this project. In order for me to get this to work, I would've had to get permission from tons of companies. And since Neoflash is a nonprofit Internet organization, that wasn't going to happen anytime soon.

What's left?

We've got quite a few things left over from PastVision. I've got a test YouTube channel with videos on it, and I got the unfinished PastVision website.

SMBX Tutorial

SMBX Tutorial was supposed to be a SMBX game that taught people how to play Super Mario Bros X while being a fun game at the same time.

Why was it cancelled?

We thought it was pointless. The Invasion (the game that is packaged with SMBX) already teaches you key aspects of the game, and after that, it's just skill.

What's left?

I still have the game files for it. However, you'll have to open them in the SMBX level editor in order for them to work. I'll post a link sometime in the future.

NES 2

The NES 2 was supposed to be a sequel to the Nintendo Entertainment System apart from the SNES.

Why was it cancelled?

Since Neoflash is currently a non-profit Internet organization, we didn't have the funds to work on the project. On top of this, copyright was an issue, so we just ditched the entire project.

What's left?

I haven't really even started on it. I was planning to mod some sort of Famiclone and use modded NES dogbone controllers for this project, and mod NES cartridges to only work with the NES2. But like I said, I haven't even started working on it, nor do I even plan to in the future. The only thing I have left is a dev website asking for developers (which I obviously don't need any now because well, the project has been scrapped.
